This Hard of Hearing System can be radio linked (wirelessly) to all FireHawk RF-Link alarms, including:

1.1 Apply the power supply to the Control Unit to turn on the device, the green power light will activate. If the Control Unit is not linked to any alarm devices the fault light will be on withing a few seconds of powering the unit. Plug-in one or two vibrating pads or none at all for the strobe light only option. This is important as the device will learn this configuration and trigger a fault if any pad is disconnected or damaged. Repeat for each control unit if using two or more.

2.1 Switch on the radio base(s) of the alarm(s) to be linked, the LED will flash green, if this does not happen, please see step 8 to reset device. Assemble alarms to their radio bases to turn them on. They will beep once, and the LED will flash red twice then stop flashing.

3.1 Press the LINK BUTTON on the first FHN800HIA Control Unit to enter linking mode, it will flash green and red.

3.2 Link another FHN800HIA by Pressing its Link button while the first is in linking mode. It will flash red and green for a few seconds and will flash the yellow fault light when connected to the first control unit from step
3.3 The first control unit will also flash the yellow light indicating the second control unit is linked.
3.4 Repeat step 3.2 for any other new FHN800HIAs in the system and add them to the first.

4.1 Put one of the FHN800HIA into linking mode by pressing the link button, it will flash red and green.

4.2 Next put an alarm device (FHB10-RF/FHH10-RF/CO10-RF), into Linking mode by pressing the Test button on the alarm once, it will flash red and green for a short time and will beep. The lights will stop flashing when linked to the Control Unit. The FHN800HIA will flash yellow to indicate a new device has been linked.
4.3 Repeat step 4.2 for each unlinked alarm in the system while the FHN800HIA is in linking mode.

4.4 Once all alarms are linked, press the “Link” button on the FHN800HIA Control Unit to exit the linking mode.

4.5 Repeat step 4 for any additional FHN800HIA in the system. To put the alarm devices back into linking mode, separating the alarm and radio base to access the RF-Link button on the radio pattress, Press the RF-Link button and its lights will flash red and green.
Note: It is important that each control unit is individually linked to each alarm in order for the radio drop out detection system to work. Each control unit will test the radio connection to each alarm and trigger a fault warning if an alarm connection is lost for more than 12 hours

5.1 Press the TEST BUTTON on a Control Unit, each Linked alarm will sound, and each Control Unit will perform a self-test. (Due to signal timings each alarm may trigger at the same time making it difficult to detect an unlinked alarm).

5.2 Please perform a test from each device in the system to ensure every alarm is successfully linked. All linked alarm devices must sound.
5.3 Install the alarms then retest to ensure the devices are in range.

6.1 To add a new alarm to an existing system complete step 2, 4 & 5 ensuring that step 4 is repeated for each FHN800HIA in the system.
6.2 to add a new FHN800HIA to an existing system complete step 1, 3, 4 and 5. be sure to repeat step 4 for each alarm device in the system.

7.1 Press the “Clear” Button on one of the FHN800HIA control unit (s) to enter Unlinking mode, the yellow and red led will begin flashing.

7.2 Put any alarms to be removed into Linking mode, by pressing the RF button in the base, the green and red light will flash for a short time then flash green only.

7.3 Exit Unlinking mode by pressing the “Clear” button once in the FHN800HIA control unit.
7.4 Repeat for each FHN800HIA device in the system.

7.5 Reset the alarm device by holding the Link button on the radio pattress until red and green LED appears. Release and the pattress will begin to flash green.

7.6 Switch off the pattress.

8.1 Press and hold the Link button until all LED lights flash. Press link button again (once), this will make all LED lights blink and return the unit to factory settings.
To turn the FHN800HIA completely off, remove the power supply then press the Test button six times.
